Dance And Colour Each Strand Of Life ~ ~ ~

We Were Girl Guides, Too.
In the year 1976, the Girl Guides movement 
was introduced  at St. Agnes.  
Among the teachers who inspired us, 
Ms Zalita D'Sa played a key role.
A trip to Matheran was planned 
and successfully executed.  
We had lots of fun during that trip.
Our uniforms comprised of  
 a royal blue dress
a brown belt, a whistle, brown socks and shoes.
The Girl Guides Song lyrics are as follows :
Baden Powell had a jolly good time, {3}
Teaching Boy Scouts all the time;
When the boys began to hike,   {3}
Their sisters wished to do the like;
On Crystal Palace Rally Day,
They followed their brothers, trim and gay;
Baden Powell asked 'Who Are You' ?
They said 'We Are Girl Scouts, too' !
Baden Powell had to bow his head,
They were by Agnes Powell lead;
So, now we have the Guiding Game,
Long Live,  Long Live   Powells'  Name.
